Welcome

A message from the Director...

Welcome to the Children and Family Services (CFS) website. I personally invite you to explore the site to learn more about the mission of the Department which is to protect children, offer services to stabilize families to remain together, provide permanency for children if they cannot remain safely in their own home and finally strive to make the lives of children and families better. This is an ambitious mission that is worthy but cannot be accomplished without the help and partnership of the community. I am honored that you are visiting our website and encourage you to get involved. Take a moment to learn about the signs of possible abuse or neglect and what to do; learn about our community-based Family to Family practices and how to get involved; learn about becoming a foster parent, a social worker, an adoptive parent, a mentor; child safety and well-being is a responsibility and a privilege to be shared with everyone in this community.

Deanna Avey-Motikeit
Director of the Children and Family Services
